Shop Until You Drop When Visiting London

If you are visiting London on a shopping trip you have a real treat in store. Oxford Street is as good a place as any with which to start, and there are over 300 shops along its’ length. Near to Marble Arch is Selfridges which is known worldwide. There are six floors of beauty products, homewares, furnishings, clothing, and luxury brands, together with a very large denim department.

For jewellery, head over to Bond Street where you will find the likes of Cartier, Chanel, Jaeger Lecoultre, Mappin & Webb, Rolex, and Tiffany.

Just off Oxford Street is St Christopher’s Place which is pedestrianised and houses a collection of small boutiques. You can also get a spot of lunch here at places like Carluccio’s.

After lunch, wander along to Regent Street where you can let the kids loose in the biggest toyshop you have ever seen – Hamley’s. There are no less than six floors of toys here! You will also find Levi’s, Aquascutum, Barker Shoes, The Body Shop, Brooks Brothers, Crabtree & Evelyn, Papillon, Karl Lagerfeld, Omega, Hackett, and Gap to name just a few.

Of course, if you are on a serious shopping trip you will want somewhere to stay, and London luxury apartments will save you some money for shopping compared with a hotel. There are London luxury apartments in and around the West End and Mayfair, and most of these compare very favourably with hotels for comfort and elegance. The only things that you don’t get with an apartment are a restaurant and a bar, so you can do your own shopping and cooking. However, if you don’t feel like cooking, the West End is full of restaurants so you can always eat out, and there are plenty of bars and nightclubs too.

Staying in one of the London luxury apartments also gives you a lot more space than a hotel room, and you have privacy. In addition, you can invite guests and fellow shoppers round for drinks or an evening meal.
